Would you enjoy spending time with alpacas, learning about all things alpaca, and participating in a fiber arts project using their beautiful fleece?\n\nWe can provide our visitors with an alpaca experience and you can learn first hand what can be done with alpaca fleece! Our tour includes an introduction to alpaca husbandry, alpaca meet and greet, a tutorial on how the fleece is processed, and a question and answer session.\n\nAfter the introduction, visitors receive instruction and materials to complete their own felted project to take home. No experience is needed, just the desire to have fun! Felted Soap is a great first felting project, and useful too! This Make n' Take Activity will show you exactly what happens when you combine a natural fiber (alpaca), soap, water, and agitation! Felted Soap is soap and scrubber in one. \n\nTours available May through the end of September dependent on weather.\n\nOther projects available depending on age and ability.\nBest for ages 5 and up.
